ALLEVARD REJNA Autosuspensions grew out of the merger, at the end of 1999, of ATELIERS METALLURGIQUES  DE SAINT URBAIN (AMSU), a group specialising in the design and manufacture of elastic suspension elements and precision springs, and ALLEVARD RESSORTS Automobile, a group specialising in the design of elastic suspension elements, whose know-how goes back almost a century.

Ever since this merger, ALLEVARD REJNA Autosuspensions has been pursuing the strategy of world-wide development previously followed by ALLEVARD RESSORTS Automobile and SOGEFI, AMSU’s shareholder.
In pursuit of this policy, the following milestones are worthy of note:

     2000
at the beginning of the year, acquisition of 100% of LIGGETT ARGENTINA, an Argentinean company specialising in the manufacture of springs and stabilizer bars
 
     2001
at the beginning of the year, acquisition of 100% of the British and Dutch companies UNITED SPRINGS Ltd and UNITED SPRINGS BV both specialists in precision springs, and also of 100% of ALLEVARD RENAULT Technologie Froid which changed its name to ALLEVARD REJNA Technologie Froid, a company specialising in the field of coil springs manufactured using the cold process
building of a coil spring and stabilizer bar plant in Mogi Mirim (BRAZIL)
 
     2003
sale of its holding in the Indian company JANA to the company NHK
shut-down of its production site in Châtenois les Forges (90 - France)
building of a coil spring and stabilizer bar plant in Prichard - West Virginia (United States)
transferring specified business to a subsidiary of the coil springs activity (that becomes ALLEVARD UNITED Springs S.A.S.) to the newly created company ALLEVARD, 100% owned by ALLEVARD REJNA Autosupensions
merger-absorption of the Spanish subsidiary EGUZKIA by the subsidiary ISSA S.L.
 
     2005
merger-absorption of the company ALLEVARD REJNA Technologie à Froid by the parent company ALLEVARD REJNA Autosuspensions
merger-absorption of the company SMB (which manufactures the springs for the heavy trucks, railway, caterpillars) by REJNA S.p.A.
 
     2006
transfer of shares held in the company KS Automotive Suspensions Asua Pte Ltd to the company Thyssenkrupp Federn GmbH
